txt msg based job hunting in Kenya

Kazi560 is a txt based job hunting tool available in Kenya. It allows job hunters to subscribe to job alerts by SMS, and allowing them to find employers who are hiring rather than going door to door looking for work – a very time consuming process. They’re adopting Craig’s List’s business model: employers pay to have to list their jobs.

Baby born with penis on back

THIS is the picture that will shock parents around the world – a baby born with a second penis on his BACK.

The tot was born to farmer dad Li Jun, 30, and his unnamed wife, who live in Hejian city in central China’s Henan province.

But he was rushed to Tianjin Childrens’ Hospital on May 27 for surgery to remove his extra manhood.

No Time for the Singularity

let’s assume that this mythology is true and, within about 25 years, computers will exceed human intelligence and rapidly bootstrap themselves to godlike status. At that point, they will aid us (or run roughshod over us [see the debate of geoengineering here – Ed]) to transform the Earth into a paradise .

Here’s the problem: 25 years is too late. […] If there’s to be a miraculous transformation of human civilization, it has to be accomplished by us, right now, before we develop our miraculous nanobots, genetically engineered carbon-sucking trees, or polywell fusion reactors. (That said, technology is a large part of the answer-and game-changing breakthroughs are possible-but until proven otherwise we have to assume we’ll be using currently possible solutions such as wind power, agrichar and a global coal moratorium.)

We have the social stability, the resources and the technology now; all we need is the will. We will still need all three of these things 25 years from now, and we’re likely to be seriously wanting in at least two of them if things continue as they are.

The technological singularity may be real, but who cares? By the time it happens, we’ll have won or lost our grand battle with fate.

Famous’gay activist claims bestiality is fine, “as long as the animal doesn’t mind”

Frank Kameny, a hero to the homosexual community who was integral in pressuring the American Psychiatric Association to reclassify same-sex activities as “normal,” has written to a pro-family organization that he believes bestiality is fine, “as long as the animal doesn’t mind.”

In a weekend letter to Americans for Truth, an organization dedicated to revealing the truth about homosexuality, Kameny also said there is no such thing as “sexual perversion.”

The Documentary “Why We Fight”

Why We Fight (2005) is a documentary film directed by Eugene Jarecki about the United States relationship with war. Its title is an allusion to the World War II-era newsreels of the same name, which were commissioned by the United States to justify their decision to go to war against the Axis Powers.

It describes the rise and maintenance of the United States military-industrial complex and its involvement in the wars led by the United States during the last fifty years, and in particular in the 2003 Invasion of Iraq. The film alleges that in every decade since World War II, the American public has been told a lie to bring it into war to fuel the military-economic machine, which in turn maintains American dominance in the world.

It includes interviews with John McCain, Chalmers Johnson, Richard Perle, William Kristol, Gore Vidal and Joseph Cirincione. The film also incorporates the stories of a Vietnam War veteran whose son died in the September 11, 2001 attacks and then had his son’s name written on a bomb dropped on Iraq; a 23-year old New York man who enlists in the United States Army citing his financial troubles after his only family member died; and a former Vietnamese refugee who now develops explosives for the American military.”
