  1. The first one is bullshit. I’m sexually attracted to black haired men and women, and find blonds unnapealing with few exceptions. I’d argue humans are naturally polyamorous. I don’t understand the logic of the last one listed. There’s a huge difference between showing interest and harassment. So, men who disrespect women are doing so because they respect them and regard them as equals?

  2. Your personal preferences invalidate the entirety of the research that comprises claim # 1. Thank you.

  3. Well, if someone is making a claim that a preference to blonds is human nature, and there are people who find the opposite is true, that makes a difference.

  4. >Men like blond bombshells (and women want to look like them)

The first statement is bullshit – to me– as well. I find a wide variety of women attractive, regardless of them being blond aryan-types or not. I find that most women who want to be blond (that Generican ideal) can be rather shallow and unattractive.

    >What Bill Gates and Paul McCartney have in common with criminals
    Huh?

    >Humans are naturally polygamous
Possibly ‘true’. Would have to examine what goes on in hunter/gatherer societies as well as hierarchal/religious societies to see what happens. From what I have observed personally, some people prefer polygamy and some monogamy.

    >Men sexually harass women because they are not sexist
So, Men sexually harass women because the women are not sexist?
    That statement wasn’t very clear.
There is a pretty clear legal definition of sexual harassment.
Some corporate environments adopt the stricter interpretation out of legal paranoia (IMHO) and due to the fact that some men (IMO) can’t constrain themselves from simple social flirting and cross the line into harassing behavior.

    >Beautiful people have more daughters
Again, who’s ideal of beauty? And what methodology was used to determine this ‘truth’?

Sorry, not to be pedantic and troll-like, it’s just that absolutist statements are worthy of discussion.
Making empirical statements with words such as ‘all’ and ‘truth’ should’ve been the big tip off.

  5. OK, so I have read the whole Psychology Today article. Those statements DO seem contrived to get peoples blood boiling (and make the magazine fly off the retail rack).
    My bad.
